Senior Spotlight, June 12
My name is Anthony Newman, I am a senior at Parsippany High School and will be attending William Paterson University in the fall studying Criminal Justice. In the last four years of high school, I have accomplished a number of things academically as well as many athletic accomplishments. I often achieved honor roll throughout my four years with an overall successful GPA. I have been a part of the varsity swim team all four years becoming a captain during my final season and winning the athlete of the week award. I also had the opportunity to play four years of baseball, taking part in two varsity seasons. My biggest athletic accomplishment came through my years of football. I played two years with the team winning a conference championship in my senior year. I finished my high school athletic career receiving the “Redhawk Award” for playing over six seasons of varsity sports.
"Senior year I was invited by my principal to take part in the Leadership Program...This event was definitely one of my favorite parts of high school, since I was able to interact with so many other students and speak my mind about our school issues. I will never forget my amazing time at PHS."
Senior year I was invited by my principal to take part in the Leadership Program. My invite to the event was because of my leadership skills and kindness shown to my fellow students and teachers around me. At this event, other students and I spoke about problems going on within our schools, and how we could improve them. This event was definitely one of my favorite parts of high school since I was able to interact with so many other students and speak my mind about our school issues. I will never forget my amazing time at PHS.
