Senior Spotlight, July 3
On May 22nd I graduated from George Mason University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and international Politics with a concentration in International Relations and a minor in Data Analysis. When I first arrived at school I was a biology major who wanted to become a physical therapist. After one semester I came to find out that I had a passion for politics and a natural eye for statistics. During my 4 years at GMU I tried to get involved in various groups to keep me busy and meet new people. While I was there I played on the club soccer team and became a part of the Delta Chi fraternity during my sophomore year.
"When I first arrived at school I was a biology major who wanted to become a physical therapist. After one semester I came to find out that I had a passion for politics and a natural eye for statistics...Internships grew my passion for politics and introduced me to jobs with the perfect combination of government and statistics."
Through these activities I was able to stay active and meet some of my best friends on campus. In addition to all that, the fraternity organization and school gave me the tools to participate in various election campaigns ranging from small state delegate races to Congressional House of Representatives races. I found an internship for a political data company in DC. These internships grew my passion in politics and introduced me to jobs with the perfect combination of government and statistics. Now I am looking towards a certification in Data Science and hope to start working in the Metro DC area in the future.
